| Requirements |
| My customer is a high-volume precision injection molder supporting the plastics packaging industry. Their need is for an experienced hands-on, technically superior leader to support its expansion and modernization plans. Qualified individual will have extensive processing experience in injection molded plastics packaging products (typically 24-32 cavity/hot runner molds) running on state of the art molding machines (Husky preferred). If you don't have experience in HIGH VOLUME INJECTION molding, and process engineering management in a PACKAGING industry environment…do not apply. 5-10+ years of experience with high speed, state of the art injection molding processing (with a minimum 2 years specifically with Husky's) Ability to generate clear and concise documents, reports, and correspondence. Knowledge of injection molding principles, plastic properties, plastic mold designs and application of mathematics/statistics to production processes and tooling. | Responsibilities Sampling, start-up process development, trouble shooting, and process optimization for qualification of all new tooling utilizing an in depth knowledge of the appropriate tools to do the job (RPG, SPC, DOE, CpK, etc.) On-going process monitoring and technical engineering support for improvement of existing programs. (i.e. cycle time reduction, scrap reduction, defect level reduction, etc.) Trouble-shooting process/product/equipment problems, and material testing and resolution of tooling issues.
